• Postdoctoral opportunities

We welcome post-doctoral applications.
Post-docs are expected to compete for fellowship support at institutions such as the KU Leuven Research Council, FWO, IWT, EU...   the preparation of which is done in close collaboration with the members of the group.

• PhD training

The laboratory provides basic research training for PhD-students and is continuously looking for PhD-students with a degree in biochemistry, bio-engineering, biomedical sciences, biology, pharmacy, veterinary science or medicine.

Research performed by PhD-students is situated within the context of ongoing projects supervised by the staff scientists, and offers the opportunity of creative and independent, interactive research.
PhD-students participate in all research-related activities (lab-meetings, in-house seminars, invited seminars or lectures within the IRC). In addition to these activities, a PhD-student shall comply with the interuniversity PhD study credit program, as enforced by the K.U.Leuven.

Eligible students are invited to request additional information on our PhD-training program.

Candidate PhD-students are expected to compete for fellowship support at institutions such as FWO, IWT, etc. for which they can rely on the help of the members of the group.

• Training of master students Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Industrial Engineering, Laboratory Techniques

Laatstejaars studenten Biochemie,  Biomedische Wetenschappen, Industrieel Ingenieur (Richting Biochemie,     Biotechnologie,...) of Laboratorium Technici kunnen op ons laboratorium stage lopen en/of een eindwerk voorbereiden.

Ze worden zoveel mogelijk ingeschakeld in het lopende wetenschappelijk onderzoek, waarbinnen ze een     
duidelijk omlijnde taak krijgen. Hierin worden ze grondig begeleid door leden van de groep.
