Nonlinear methods in non-destructive testing are scientifically advanced and based on new physical principles. Understanding of these methods will improve the level of education and worker skills. Although these methods are at the frontier of modern science they are in fact easier to learn, use and interpret than existing methodologies. Training of personnel at companies and some universities is a very important part of the project. It is necessary in order to be able to perform extensive testing of materials and structures and to demonstrate the potential of NEWS on aircraft. The training activity of WP6 is also connected with the long term goal of achieving European standards, where a method must have been used for some time prior to the writing and approvals of new standards. The dissemination of knowledge regarding the use of these techniques will of course help propagate them onto other areas of interest. This will be realized through internationally reviewed publications, conferences and workshops, special seminars, publicly accessible web-sites, etc.
