WP 5 is considered with the final stage of the project: verifying the effectiveness of a NEWS-based inspection technique as a practical NDT tool for continuous structural quality control of several key aircraft parts. Three particular tasks deal with 1) the choice of the testing site and the specifications for real operational needs (Milestone 6[1]), 2) the complete industrial systems design and assembly, data collection and evaluation (Milestone 7[2]), and 3) the formulation of general standard recommendations related to the utilization of NEWS techniques in aeronautics NDT praxis.
