The AERONEWS project plan to achieve the objectives is an integration of activities in three sections: Fundamental and applied research, Technological development and Innovation related activities, and Validation and Training.

There are seven Work Packages (WPs) divided into several smaller sub-package tasks in the work plan of this project. The emphasis is on the development and perfection of suitable techniques and knowledge enhancement of NEWS so that it can be used for both the current and extended NDE methods applications in the field of aeronautics. The working flow-chart of the project, going from WP 1 to WP 5, incorporates all the steps required for the practical implementation of NEWS technology. The first two workpackages deal with fundamental and applied research; workpackage 3 and 4 focus on technological developments, workpackage 5 deals with validation of the proposed product and workpackage 6 and 7 contain the dissemination activities and the management of the project.
